You may mean moods: A sub-type of bipolar is rapid-shifting emotions and i think this may be what you mean. Personality shifts - a dissociative disorder - was known as multiple personality and is very rare and not really known to be rapid back and forth. The rapid-shift bipolar is a difficult and painful condition and really should be getting serious treatment.
