Wonderful question: The very fact that you ask this is huge. This is a complex issue, both emotionally and physically. Find a counsellor to help you with coping skills, join a support group, in person or online. Find other things to do when you get that urge. Try seeing a functional medicine doctor to address any nutritional deficiencies that might be contributing. And trust yourself - you are on the right path.
