Fatigue: First off, you would want to know the reason for fatigue because effective treatment is dependent on the correct diagnosis. Possibly you will need some labwork done. Ritalin (methylphenidate) doesn't address the problem in most cases.

Ritalin (methylphenidate) alternatives: First thing is to have your doctor do a thorough assessment including checking diet, sleep pattern, thyroid function and blood sugar and your emotional state. Correction of any of these should help. Alternatives to Ritalin (methylphenidate) include amphetamines, Provigil and Nuvigil and antidepressants like vivactil (protriptyline).

Try cause of fatigue: ritalin (methylphenidate) Is not indicated for fatigue.... I recommend talking to your doctor about this. Why are you fatigued? Do you have sleep apnea? It's very common if you are overweight. You may need sleep study.
