Nerve pinch: Aching pain in shoulder with radiation to fingertips suggests a primary cervical spine nerve root impingement and/or thoracic outlet syndrome (tos). Mri of neck and shoulder can be informative. Electrodiagnostic studies (emg ; nct) often positive in advanced disorder with nerve cell death, but inconclusive if intermittent neural impingement is occurring. Physiatrists ; osteopaths can diagnose.
