Nerve pinching: Sounds like a nerve compression. This may be at the neck or over the plexus in the shoulder region, or even more distal such as wrist, or elbow. Carpal tunnel can refer pain upwards into the shoulder. Thoracic outlet can cause numbness in ring and little fingers. Get this sorted out by an exam from your doctor.
