Had appendectomy in feb. been fine til this past week. pain worse than when i went in & radiates to the inguinal area & thigh. what could this be?

Uncertain: Five months after surgery, risks of infectious complication should be near zero. Was the prior surgery complicated or have abscess? Fever? Vomiting? May be something else such as unrelated groin hernia. Call your surgeon or see your family doctor for an exam. May need blood tests, ct scan, etc.

Pain: This could be related or totally unrelated i would recommended being re-examined by your doc and getting imaging for the area that you are having pain.

Get checked: Hernia in wound. Scar around nerve abscess are all considerations exam and x-rays will likely be needed.
