A member asked:

Since herniaplasty and appendectomy outer thigh sometimes feels like its burning and is numb, like dentist type numbness. feels like fire is normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That is due to opera: It is common after cutting into skin to feel numbness. It is the result of tiny nerves having been cut with the knife. They take a year or two to regenerate. So you can ignore it and get your mind off of this area. It will eventually become normal after sometime.
