Ear pressure: What is swollen may either be the ear canal but especially as symptoms arose suddenly while chewing your jaw joint may be the issue. While ear disease is one consideration, jaw joint inflammation due to an acutely displaced disk may be your problem. Often, jaw rest, soft diet for a week or two with some Motrin resolves the jaw problem. If not, you need both the ear and jaw joint examined.
