Ask your ENT: Ear pain after tonsillectomy is the rule and not the exception. Pain medicine can help. Motrin is being used increasingly- ask your ENT if they are okay with that. Also, they may consider a dose of steroids. Stay hydrated and this will pass, but it could take a week or more.
