Interm swollen left tonsil. ear pressure interm large subman node. goes up and dwn during day. no other sx. benadryl (diphenhydramine) helps. haps few x's/yr. ideas?

Tonsillitis: Sounds like a chronic inflammation of the tonsil that leeds to infection in the surrounding tissues. May need to have tonsils taken out if it is a recurrent problem. Lymph node may need to be biopsied if it is significantly enlarged and not regressing.
