My right ear has suddenly gone deaf. have tried popping it but wont work. am on holiday and due to fly back home on saturday. really worried. help?

Could be serious: If you are truly deaf on one side all of a sudden (really can't hear anything possibly with ringing or dizziness) it is considered a medical emergency and ents often start steroids for this (though we get a hearing test first typically). If it's associated with a cold there is more likely fluid in the middle ear which could make the descent on the plane painful. Best to call your md.
