Talk to your doctor: Ask your doctor if you need a change in medication. You may want to try another medication as long as it does not interact with other medications you take or aggravate a pre-existing medical condition. Examples of medications that may be helpful for sleep include silenor, doxepin, mirtazapine, hydroxyzine, or diphenhydramine. You can take this last medication in several over the counter product.
