Talk to your doctor: You may need to talk to the doctor who prescribed the Prozac (fluoxetine) to you. Insomnia can be a sign that a medication is too activating for an individual. Accompanied by additional side effects the insomnia may be a reflection that the medication is making you a little manic although insomnia in the absence of mania is encountered as a side effect with prozac (fluoxetine).
