Talk to your doctor: Unless the condition being treated is OCD, a dose of 80 mg/day of Prozac (fluoxetine) is excessive. For depression or anxiety, a dose of 20 to 40 mg/day for more than 4 weeks is considered an adequate therapeutic trial for Prozac (fluoxetine). If primary symptoms have not resolved at this dose/duration, it's prudent to re-assess the diagnosis and to consider at a different treatment strategy.
