Remember: While resistance training is helpful in the weight loss/toning battle, the key to getting as "skinny" as you'd like, is more likely a dietary issue. You can do all the crunches you can and it isn't likely going to "make you thinner" as while this strengthens the abdominal muscles it won't necessarily affect the fat layer covering them.
