70% respond to prp: The best study done in germany shows that 70% of the patients who get prp for arthritis get 50-100% inprovement for at least 6 months. We usually do prp once a month for three months.

Very successful: I've done about 5,000 PRP injections in adult patients, and although there is a trend towards better results with mild-moderate arthritis, it can still help with moderate-severe arthritis. The great thing is that both PRP and hyaluronic acid injections (such as Synvisc) can keep you active and if one doesn't work patients can try the other type of injection.
