Alopecia areata: This is an autoimmune condition where your immune system attacks the hair follicles and hair falls out leaving round bald spots. Often stress or illness triggers it. It can spread and more hairloss can occur. See a dermatologist for treatment. Ringworm (tinea capitis) usually has inflammation and or scale associated with it.
