I have plantar facisitis in both my feet. would doctors recommend a night splint or the strassburg sock?

I personally: Prefer some of the night splints over the sock. But, the sock is designed for plantar fascitis. I think stretching, orthotics etc are also important as one needs a comprehensive treatment plan for plantar fascitis.

Passive stretch: The night splint and strasburg sock provides passive stretch while you are in bed or sitting. It is also important to actively stretch and massage the plantar fascia and the achilles to keep supple and flexible.

Rigid is Best: Although both the night splint and strassburg sock is made to keep the foot and ankle at 90 degrees. The sock is not as strong as a more rigid night splint. Also there are night splints that are made to provide even more tension to allow for more stretch over time. In the end, you have to get something that you can tolerate and use. If it is uncomfortable to you then you will not use it.
