Both h2 blockers: They are both in a class of acid medicines called h2 blockers. They should be comparable in their effectiveness. I would stick to the one that works best for you.

Yes: These are helpful for stomach acidity and have essentially the same effects and side effects. I am not sure why you would do it this way but for simplicity, use up what you have and then pick one to take twice per day in the future.
