Place fillings: Cavities in baby teeth are fixed similar to in permanent teeth. Mercury containing fillings should be avoided. Very young may require nitrous oxide gas or even a general anesthetic if cooperation is a problem. Using a laser instead of a drill makes the experience better for children as well as adults. It is better to learn how to prevent cavities instead of having to have fillings placed.

Same: Pretty much the same way filings are done for adults. The tooth is numbed up, the decay is removed, and a filling is placed. Note that there is no scientific evidence that silver fillings do any harm. Go with your dentist's advice as to filling material. Also, talk to dentist about preventing cavities (sealants, fluoride, brushing 2 full minutes 2x/day, cleaning between teeth, etc.).

Filling: Just like a cavity on an adult tooth. They will use local anesthesia and place a filling.
