Save tooth: If your dentist does find the cavity during his examination, he will explain the problem, what can be done for it, cost for procedure, and treat the tooth. Routinely, he can gently numb the area, remove the soft, stained caries, then place a tooth colored resin filling restoring it back to it original size and shape. The tooth will eat and smile another day.
