A member asked:

Could i still get clear braces if i have extractions and an overbite?

Probably: This will depend on the complexities of your case, but many time clear braces can be done. Talk to an orthodontist that does invisalign. They can explain all of the options you have for treatment.

Yes, but...: Know that clear aligners are on average 41% effective, and braces are over 90% effective, and aligners usually cost more. Aligners are not very good at closing extraction spaces, or reducing more than a 2-3mm horizontal overbite. Lot of bucks for compromised result. Make sure you see a fully qualified orthodontic specialist for evaluation and rx, not a gp who likes to play at tooth movement.

Yes: But also understand the other docs who answered are discussing invisalign (potentially an option, but as noted by the other docs, with pros and cons) and you may also wish to consider clear brackets (yet another option with its own pros and cons, but generally as effective as metal braces). Talk to a couple of orthodontists to understand your options which will allow u to make the best decisions.
