Should we check to see if the clot has dissolved?

Complications: Women who are prone to forming blood clots may have a hard time carrying a pregnancy. Blood clots can cause complications for the fetus because of interference with blood flow through the placenta, for example. If you have a history of blood clots and wish to get pregnant, you might consider speaking to your ob/gyn.

What clot?: Where was it? If if was a leg dvt, you should have a repeat ultrasound in 3-6 months to see if the clot is gone. You can then have a conversation with your doctor about stopping anticoagulation.
