A member asked:

Will a small hole in your heart cause lack of oxygen in your blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asd or vsd: An atrial or ventricular septal defect(hole in the heart) that is small generally would not cause a problem with oxygenation. Moderately large or large size defects however can cause problems with oxygenation.
