Yes.: Diabetes is diagnosed with a fasting glucose of 126 or greater, or 200 during a glucose tolerance test. So either way, a glucose of 200 would indicate diabetes. As for treatment, a partnership with your health care provider is essential. You may be able to control diabetes with diet & exercise, but you will always be diabetic. The medications that are used to control it may change over time.

Diabetes: Glucose of 200 and fasting glucose above 126 is diabetes. You need to have your hemoglobin A1c checked; if above 6.5 you are a diabetic. If treated with lifestyle early on, it is possible you can change your hemoglobin A1c to a non diabetic range and prevent all the horrible complications of diabetes. Eat low glycemic diet, exercise, lose weight, and drink alot of water.
