A member asked:

Had. mri of liver and pancreas because of elevated liver enzymes, healthy female not ill, what may the results be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anything: Your MRI may be normal or may be abnormal depending on what the findings are. If your liver enzymes are caused by some sort of blockage in the bile pathways, MRI might be able to reveal that. However, if your liver enzymes are caused by a hepatitis or increase fat contents, MRI may be negative.
