Serious disease: Mucormycosis is a serious infection of the sinuses that can spread to the brain. It occurs in people who have a weakened immune system. Usual treatment includes surgery to remove the involved infected areas.

Mucormycosis: Mucormycosis (Zygomycosis) can be a very serious disease caused by inhaled fungal spores. It can infect your nose, sinuses, eyes, , brain, digestive tract and lungs. A severe form is called rhinocerebral mucormycosis which can be fatal. If you have active disease, I would wait until you have shown improvement before venturing out on a vacation.
