A member asked:

My mother in law has had episodes during the night where her blood sugar levels drop dramatically.what can we use to elevate her sugars back to normal?

Hypoglycemia: First off, there must be a reason found for hypoglycemia. I understand your mother-in-law is not diabetic based on the med list provided. So, if she is truly hypoglycemic, she will need to have that worked up to find the cause. Until then, a rich calorie meal before bedtime should help her maintain more or less adequate level.
