A member asked:

New here. may i have the general amount of sodium, potassium, protein, phosphorus someone with stage 3/4 kidney disease should have per day? gracias

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Listen to your body: Individuals with chronic kidney disease need to have restricted intake of sodium, potassium, protein, and phosphorus because their kidney can not excrete efficiently. If a person with healthy kidneys eats this diet but has a greater need for any of these nutrients he may notice some imbalance. For instance a person with low blood pressure may feel better with more added salt.
