Listen to your body: Individuals with chronic kidney disease need to have restricted intake of sodium, potassium, protein, and phosphorus because their kidney can not excrete efficiently. If a person with healthy kidneys eats this diet but has a greater need for any of these nutrients he may notice some imbalance. For instance a person with low blood pressure may feel better with more added salt.
