Besides causing you : Lots of pain, possibility of an infection, swelling, ... Expense - off from work / school ... Why tempt fate or suffer more than you need to. See a dentist and get it fixed before more problems arise. I am told that dental pain can be some of the worst pain one can even imagine. Why would you willingly ever want to go there ? Hope this helps.

Infection: A tooth with an infection will tax your immune system, and in the end, you still need to see a dentist to restore it or extract it. Feel better soon...

A 'bad' tooth: Cause pain and suffering, destroy surrounding bone, make the tooth unsalvageable, loose time from work, school or family, & eventually become infected which can spread to other parts of the body. People have died from these types of infections. I personally know of a few. A dentist friend of mine has a mentally handicapped child in his practice whose untreated infected tooth led to a brain abscess.
