Status of CKD: If a person has CKD stage 3 or higher, that person should be seen by a nephrologist (n) every 3 months to monitor the person's status and to see if any new issues come up that need to be dealt with. If the patient has CKD class 1 or 2 patients can be seen every 6 months. Blood and urine samples are used to track progression of CKD and only a physician can order them. See a n for good care.
