See a dermatololgist: Malar rash is not present for a large percentage of patients with lupus.There are other autoimmune conditions that often present with a malar rash.It may just be increased sun sensitivity not related to autoimmune disease. See a dermatologist--sometimes only a skin biopsy is the only way to know what is going on.If you have other symptoms like fevers, arthritis, fatigue, see a rheumatologist soon.
