Multip[le causes: I see under conditions lupus is listed so this may be the butterfly rash associated with this systemic disorder. I do not notice any medications for SLE so I would certainly see a rheumatologist for an evaluation and determine if the disorder could be better controlled. Remember SLE is more than the rash, it effects all organ systems so it must be treated properly.
