No way it's acid!: Acetaminophen cannot do anything with gastric acid. But gastric achlorhydria occurs in atrophic gastritis. Any "raw" chemical can causes distress. If you are not on a drug like prilosec, have your serum gastrin checked!

Irritation: Acetaminophen can produce damage to the lining of the intestine as well as damage to the liver if taken in high doses. Would stop these and if discomfort persists see a doctor, preferably a GI specialist.

Acetaminophin: Unusual but occasionally happens. Often there is an underlying stomach problem. Ask your doc what he thinks and for a med to quiet your stomach. Avoid tylenol (acetaminophen) like drugs meanwhile.
