NO: Hi, Tylenon#3 has Codeine itself so I don't recommend taking Codeine and doubling the dose as it might increase the risk of toxicity. If your pain is not well controlled then talk to your doctor for adjustment of your pain medication.

Gastroenteritis: The stomach virus, also called gastroenteritis, will run its course in a few days. Tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine will not affect the duration of the virus, but if you are sensitive to codeine you may have nausea and vomiting. If you tolerated the medication in the past, you should be able to take it without issue.

It depends...: First of all if the Tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine has been prescribed to you for pain relief you may take it as long as you have not developed stomach upset when you take it. However, if you are not tolerating anything then you should hold off on it. Make sure you recover from your stomach illness and then you may restart it if like I said before it is a medication it has been prescribed to you.
