You cannot stop it "cold turkey", though, to avoid withdrawal. The weaning process must be gradual and under the supervision of a physician.

A small adjustment is usually effective in bringing you to your previous positive ability. After discontinuing Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) for several weeks, response often improves. An alternative would be a change to concerta.
