It all depends : On the individual situation. Every situation does not mandate the prescribing of antibiotics. Your treating doctor will make that decision based on your specific case / diagnosis. Hope this helps.

Depends: Routine 3rd molars - not indicated. Studies show no difference with or without antibiotics. If infection present, then indicated. Make sure you're being treated by oral surgeon who understands 3rd molars.
