Yes: Yes you can and encouraged to do so. After you brush the thrush away, you tongue may look rather red.That is normal. After the thrush infection is gone, throw away your toothbrush and get a new one.

Thrush in an adult without a good reason suggests immune deficiency and is a good reason to be tested for HIV disease. If you have been taking antibiotics, steroids, immunosuppressive drugs or are diabetic you should be seen by your PCP and evaluated. Good luck

Best to be seen by: Your physician or dentist for appropriate treatment recommendations / medications. Part of the problem is auto inoculation. Hope this helps.
