Creams: Including Benadryl (diphenhydramine) creams and steroid creams can help. I would avoid using steroid creams on the face for more than a week or two.

Several options: Treatment depends to some extent on the cause of the itch. Itching without a rash will usually respond to antihistamine medications that are used to treat allergies. If there is a rash, a mild Hydrocortisone cream may be helpful.

OTC antihistamines: Over-the-counter antihistamines are often effective at treating skin pruritus. Cetirizine is probably the most effective of the otc antihistamines, although Loratadine and fexofenadine are also available. Gentle soaps and moisturizers might also help.
