OTC Rx skin itch: Two otc products may help. The first is a heavy duty moisturizer like eucerin ointment. Almost all skin diseases dry out the skin. Symptoms can be reduced and raw nerve endings soother by replacing the moisture. The 2nd treatment is otc Hydrocortisone cream, which is fairly effective against minor itch, but is not as strong as a doctor would prescribe.
