May be okay: The nail has partially alvulsed.The blackish redness if from degenerating hematoma that stained the new growing nails .It will take a little while to dissolve with daily washing.

Regrowth of ToeNail: After trauma to a digital nail.....The nail tissue will maintain a bruised look for weeks or months. As long as the nail is not loose or painful or infected...Its okay to leave it alone and let it heal on its own.
