Can anything be done for severe subungual hematoma 6 days after impact injury under entire big toenail?ortho did xray & confirmed not broken.it keeps getting bigger and nail bed swollen up over 1/2 inch high.window for trephination has passed?advice?

Subungual blood: If this is free blood under the nail, I would get a second opinion from a podiatrist to see if drilling into the nail is still a viable option. I also feel that you will need a podiatrist for follow-up care as, in my opinion, orthopedic surgeons are less interested in such problems.
