I have a subungual hematoma on my left foot's big toe. the nail had been slightly loose for a while & then yesterday i bumped my toe in such a way that the right bottom corner pulled out. my toe is extremely sore today. should i go see a dr?

I am sorry to hear that this happened. Yes, you should see a doctor, especially if the toe is still very painful.

You can remove the portions of the nail that are loose on your own. If you see purulence, increased redness, increased pain and swelling, you may have an infection and might consider seeing a specialist. But, in general, a subungual hematoma will heal on its own.
