A member asked:

How much should i worry about muscle spasm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends on which muscles, how frequent, how painful and any underlying pathology. Occasional muscle spams may be due to electrolyte imbalance due to heat and may not be a cause for concern. Torticollis is also a muscle spasm and can be disabling. Muscle spasms may occur due to low calcium, or manifestations of nerve disorders.
