Levator Spasm: Congratulations on starting your kegel's at the age of 23. If there's one preventative thing you can do for your genitourinary health, that's it. Sometimes though, contractions of the muscles in the vaginal region can lead to spasms -- levator syndrome/spasm predisposes you to tight, rigid muscles that require physical therapy to help you relax. Get a pt referral, you may need vaginal dilators.
