Easy does it: I'm betting your physician could manage your acne either with topical prescription meds, or good old topical benzoyl peroxide along with a low dose of a systemic antibiotic such as tetracycline 250 1/day.

Accutane: Accutane is a great drug but needs to be monitored carefully when administered. Whether the benefits outweigh the risks must be evaluated in each patients individual circumstance.
