What is hypertrophy: When heart is stiff it doesn't relax to function at the full capacity.You might have long standing hypertension or other reasons to have stiff heart muscle . Your risk is high if BP is not well controlled and will need close monitoring with specialist in the field of hypertrophy cardiomyopathy specialist consult with your cardiologist who you are being cared by.
