See a doctor: Sounds like you need a new work up and evaluation with your doctor if it has been 3 years since you had a gallbladder evaluation. What testing was done to identify a hiatal hernia? Many people have small hiatal hernia findings that are treated with appropriate medications from their doctor.

Hiatal hernia: Did you have your gallbladder removed 3 years ago? If not, it may be your gallbladder. A hiatal hernia can usually doesn't cause pain there though it is possible. You need an ultrasound of your gallbladder, and if that is normal, a cck hida scan.

Question?: Not sure what the question is, but regarding the right sided abdominal pain, could be due to the gallbladder malfunction. Doubt the hiatal hernia has anything to do with it. See a general surgeon for a consultation to find out more. Be sure to bring the results of your tests. Hope this helps!
