Hormonal changes : With possible changes in hormonal levels during period there is possible change in perception of pain, emotion, sense of well being change. That makes the symptoms of fibromyalgia or arthritic good or bad. Try few things and may help further (1) good quality 8 hours of sleep ( 10pm-6am), (2) balance diet, (3) avoid stimulants, relaxation, breathing exercise/yoga, good daily bm.

Hormonal effect: If it is decreased during your period, then it must be due to the hormonal changes that occur then. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about this andcfer your hormones balanced. I wish you the very best.

Relaxin: Reason why fibromyalgia symptoms improve during menses and pregnancy is that hormone Relaxin secreted at these times causes relaxed soft tissues such as ligaments and tendons, relieving muscle spasm and strain, which are causal of painful trigger points; which is as good a theory as any I have thought or heard. As the weaker muscles of deconditioned fibromyalgics fight gravity, they suffer spasm.
