See details: Patients with fm are more sensitive to pain. There pain from a disc can be worse in individuals with preexisting fm.

Yes: This question is best answered by a rheumatologist but in my experience almost any orthopedic problem is made worse and can persist longer w/a history of fibromyalgia .Best of luck!

Yes it can: While the disc pathology will not be changed by fibro, the central sensitization to pain is often very increased. This means that the perception of the pain, the subjective feeling of pain will most likely be increased. This along with the increased myofascial pain that can be aggravated by disc herniation and nerve pain, it certainly can cause significant, extended pain.
